Fresh and healthy fruit and veg platter
After all the Christmas and New Year excesses, it's time to feel healthy again! 
  • Have a low- or no-alcohol January - instead, drink lots of water, unsweetened tea, 1% or skimmed milk
  • Load up on fruit and, especially, vegetables and have at least two different vegetables with each meal - this will help you reach the elusive 5-a-day
  • Keep an eye on portion sizes e.g. a portion of protein should be about the size of your palm
  • Eat the right foods at the right time e.g. a breakfast of porridge oats or All Bran with milk or Greek yoghurt and a serving of nuts or seeds = a great start to your day
